OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSALS UNDER THE DANISH TROPICAL FOREST INITIATIVE (TFI)

The Department for Green Diplomacy and Climate is inviting NGOs to submit project proposals that address deforestation and support transformative and sustained change through long-term engagements. This call for proposals falls under the Danish Tropical Forest Initiative (TFI) for Climate and Sustainable Development, which aims to address the negative impact on climate, biodiversity, and socio-economic development from deforestation and forest degradation globally. This initiative includes three strategic priorities, namely 1) climate change mitigation and adaptation, 2) poverty alleviation and sustainable development, 3) biodiversity conservation.

The Call for Proposals has a total budget of DKK 100 million. The minimum grant amount to be requested under this Call for proposals is DKK 25 million. The maximum grant amount to be requested is DKK 35 million.

A maximum of 4 proposals will be selected. The planned duration of the proposal must not be less than 36 months and must not exceed 48 months. Lead Applicants can only send one application under this CfP. 

The deadline for the submission of the concept note is 21st March 2025 at 13:00. The proposal should be addressed to Charlotte Laursen ([email protected]) and Lena Veierskov ([email protected]).

Questions in relation to the CfP from potential applicants may be submitted in writing no later than the 2nd of March 2025 at 13:00 to the following email address: [email protected] and [email protected]. Answers to questions received will be published on the MFA website no later than the 7th of March 2025.
